Willie Frank Thacker

Willie Frank Thacker, 73 was born on August 10, 1947 to the late Percy and Canary Thacker. He was born in Abbeville. Mississsippi and he relocated Evansville, IN. when he was approximately five years old. He attended Glenwood Middle School and graduated from Bosse High School in Evansville, Indiana. On Febuary, 2 2021 at 7:03 p.m., the death angel came and released him of his pain and suffering. Willie accepted Christ at an early age. He was faithful member of Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed at Kenny Kent detailing cars for several years. He worked at BFI and retired from there after 20 years of dedicated service. After retirement, Will worked at the Goodwill for a short time until his health began to fail.Willie was married to Donna (Collins) Thacker for 21 years and friends for 38 years. She was a devoted and dedicated wife that took care of him during his illiness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Thacker and one sister, Frances.He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved and dedicated wife, Donna; son: Brian "Bam" Hawkins; grandson, Brison Compton, whom he loved dearly; mother-in-law, Ms. Ollie Livingston, sister-in-law, Tissy (Lauristan) Marks; brother-in-laws Jamie Hawkins and Brian Hawkins, of Evansville and Charles DeJarnett of Bowling Green, Kentucky; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Vincent Hospital.Visitation will be Wednesday , February 10,2021 from 10am until 11am at Greater St James Missionary Baptist Church , Funeral Service will begin at 12 noon at the church.Osborne Funeral Home has been entrusted with final care.
