William “Diamond Bill” Henry Rogers Jr. died at St. Mary’s Hospital on September 4, 2016 in Evansville, IN, following a battle with liver cancer, at the age of 62.
Bill was born on August 11, 1954 to the late Mr. & Mrs. William (Katherine) H. Rogers, Sr.
He graduated from Central High School and went on to college.
Bill was a fun-loving, free spirted compassionate man who loved to help anyone he could. He never met a stranger, and the love he had for life and people was contagious. He was an avid sports fan who loved basketball.
Bill is survived by his step-daughter RickQuia Davis; grandsons EmarZhion & EmarZhe` Mayo; sisters, Elexica (Johnny) McAlister all of Evansville, IN, Glenda Alexander of Cordova, TN; nephews Blair Calhoun, Shelby Outlaw III, Ezekiel Alexander; nieces Jasanni & Jahzara McAlister; former wife and caregiver Felicia Davis, Jerry Gish caregiver; and a host of cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, 10 to 11 am at Osborne Funeral Home with funeral to begin at 11:00 a.m.
