William Phillip Morgan passed away July 15, 2026, in Evansville IN. William, Will or Bubba as he was known to his family, was born to Phillip William Morgan (Bill) and Beulah Cabell Morgan on November 27, 1969, in Henderson, KY.

He grew up knowing the Lord and was baptized in the Ohio River with New Bethel Baptist Church by Rev. Walter Baker. He grew up and attended the Henderson County School system graduating from Henderson County High School in 1988.

He joined the United States Army in 1990 where he dutifully served in mostly the chaplain role until 2012.His military career took him various places, but his favorite was Puerto Rico. He retired and returned to Georgia where he lived and worked various jobs until finally relocating back home in 2024.He loved baseball, softball, and soccer; playing all of the sports when he was in high school and afterwards. He liked to travel and was active in the VFW wherever he lived.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Susan Morgan; stepfather Norris Handley; and brother Devin Morgan. He is survived by his nephews and niece: Brandon Morgan, Phillip Morgan, Omni Whitehouse (Kevin) and Shane Morgan; great nieces, Eden and Eliza Whitehouse; aunts and uncle, Shirley Moore (Alonzo), E. Elaine Jackson, Rita Pettus, Tim Cabell (Sondra), and a host of of cousins, family, and friends.

Private services were held July 23, 2026 with burial in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville KY.
