William Charles Gant

William Charles Gant, age 65, of Evansville, Indiana, departed this life on March 18, 2026, at Deaconess Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born on November 10, 1960, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Rosetta Darby.

William was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. William was known for his infectious spirit and zest for life. He cherished his family deeply, especially his grandchildren, and his laughter and joy would light up any room. A lover of music and dance, William was truly the life of the party, easily connecting with everyone he met. His genuine caring nature was reflected in his willingness to lend a helping hand or share whatever he could with those in need. He found joy in simple pleasures, including watching football and basketball games.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosetta Darby; his son, DeMarco Bradley; his sisters, Teresa Darby and Cora Jean Gant; and his brother, Sonnie Gant.

He leaves to cherish his memories. His children, daughters, Temeka, Bradley, and Shalandra Reed( Chad), and son, William Bradley. He is also survived by two brothers, Herman and Toby Gant,11 grandchildren,6 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held11:00, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Osborne Funeral Home.
