Virgil Mack Sanderfur was born September 27, 1932 in Evansville, IN to Robert Sandefer and Emma Adams. On Sunday morning, April 29, 2018, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital ,Virgil peacefully left this world.
Virgil was a hardworking man who loved his daughters and grandchildren dearly.
The words of his daughter Denise sums up how they feel. “Pops this last illness was more than you could handle and you grew tired. Even though you are very sick I believe this last several days were some of the best days that we've spent together. We laughed and you cut up like you were known to do. Every holiday or birthday you would always say, "Well I don't think I'm going to be here next time" and we would always say ok Pop see you tomorrow. On Friday night at the end of our visit, I kissed your forehead and told you that I loved you and that I would see you tomorrow and you said I love too. Apparently some time before Saturday morning you started your transition and went into a deep sleep and we didn't get to laugh and say I love you anymore and so this morning a little after 10 you took your final breath and said farewell to this old world. I love you Poppy and I will forever cherish our final days together. RIH #DaddysGirl #VirgilMack”
