Verlinda Kaye Flax

Verlinda Kaye Flax, 55, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville. She was born on August 27, 1970, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, to Len Flax Sr. and Dorothy Adams Flax.

Verlinda was the oldest of her siblings and had an adventurous spirit. She was never afraid to venture out, experience new things, and enjoy life. Above all, Verlinda loved her family and treasured the time she spent with them. She especially enjoyed going thrifting with her grandbaby, watching sports—particularly football—and cheering for her favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings. She also loved to travel and make memories along the way.

Verlinda was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Len Flax Sr.; and her sister, Jacqueline Flax.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Chase Flax (Terri); daughter, Hennessey Flax (Isaiah); brothers, Steven Flax Sr., Christopher Flax Sr., and Jeffery Flax Sr. (Donna); sisters, Carmencita Flax and Teresa Flax (Joseph Brown Sr.); seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
