Tyrus “T-Bone” Armstead 49, passed away on June 8, 2018 at Columbia Healthcare. Tyrus was born on June 15. 1968 in Evansville to Willie Earl Armstead and Eula May Carter.
Tyrus was born with an identical twin Tyrone. They did everything together as children and into adulthood, He played many sports growing up, but boxing grabbed his heart. He goes on to travel the world doing what he loved and became a golden glove boxer. He handed out many knock-outs to other fighters. When he loved he loved hard. He was an all around good guy, big hearted, he loved all his family no matter what.
He pursued his love, professional boxing and worked at Johnson Construction for years as well as various other jobs.
Tyrus is preceded in death by his parents, brother James Junior Carter and Gerald Carter, sister Andrea Carter, grandparents Ilean and Elmo Madison.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories his seven children, daughters; Brittney Armstead, Amery Armstead, Haley Armstead, Tori, sons; Dylan Pauley, Junior James, John Jordan, brothers; Tyrone Armstead, Kent and Keith Carter, sister; Joyce Taylor, six grandchildren, special aunt Millie Thacker, special dear friend George Russell
