Thomas Edward Winstead, Jr.

May 25, 1968 — December 15, 2023

Thomas Winstead, Jr. 55, of Evansville, was called home on Friday December 15, 2023. He went home to be with the Lord surrounded by family. He was born May 25, 1968 to the late Thomas Winstead, Sr. and his wife Elizabeth.

Thomas was reared in Evansville and graduated from Reitz High School in 1986. He entered the workforce even before he graduated from high school. He was a production worker his entire life. He had several jobs throughout his life that he worked, but in 2012 he was hired at Pittsburgh Glass Works where he worked for 9 years until COVID-19 caused the plant to relocate. He then became a driver for American Resource Staffing.
He attended Ivy Tech State College for a year but was more interested in working and providing for his family.

Thomas, or "Big T" as he was affectionally known, was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a nephew, a cousin, an uncle, a friend, and a mentor. He was a favorite in every area of his life.

He did not meet a stranger! He was the life of the party wherever he was. There was a running joke amongst family and friends that he missed his calling because he was funnier than any comedian you ever heard. He was a family man! He absolutely loved and treasured his family. When he was not working, he was spending time with different members of his family. He also loved to travel with his wife. It became one of his favorite things to do.

Thomas was best known for the love and the big heart that he had for people. He had a positive impact on every person that he encountered. He is already truly missed.
Thomas was preceded in death by both maternal and fraternal grandparents, his father, and his twin boys Edward and Edwin.

He is survived by his wife, Andria Winstead, his mother Elizabeth Winstead, his only sister Teresa (Winstead) Armstead, daughter Paris Winstead, and sons Cedric Norris, Sr., and Christopher Berry; his grandsons Cedric Norris, Jr. who he raised like a son, Tyrin Johnson, Jr.; Tyliek Johnson, Jordan Norris, Jamarri Coppage, Amaleki Norris, and Kamarrion Fellows; granddaughters Aundrea Norris, Arionna Davis, Malaysia Leathers, Khri'shae Green, Malaya Norris, and Londyn Wilson, nieces Cristina Feliz and Alyssa Brigham Also, a host of cousins.
