Stella Pace was born December 16,1935 in Evansville, IN .
She was one of eleven children born to the union of Norman and Arletta Johnson
Stella attended school at Lincoln Elementary and Lincoln High School, where she played alto horn in the marching band.
In 1961, Stella and her family moved to Sacramento, California where she was initially employed as a Nursing Assistant, at the Sacramento County Hospital for 10 yrs. After which she accepted employment with the Sacramento Regional Transit Authorities until her retirement.
In 1994 Stella returned to Evansville Indiana ,where she met and married Elmo Pace in April 1998,
Stella enjoyed cooking and was the keeper of her own recipe for " Tea Cakes" for which she had a mailing list
Stella had an artistic way of house decorating which fueled another passion for yard sales and second hand shopping.
Stella received Christ at an early age while a member of St Johns UMC Church in Evansville, where she reunited after returning home.
As the years passed, she became ill and had to yield to the will of God after a valiant struggle.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Arletta Johnson, Son Carl Farmer Jr, her brother Norman Johnson Jr. ,grandson Jerome and granddaughter Bobbie Bullock, She leaves to cherish her memory, husband Elmo Pace, daughters Portia Bullock, Margie Faulkner, Andrea Faulkner, Laurice Lee(William), Lauretta Pace, Patricia Williams, and Brenda Sheppard, sons Lloyd Faulkner Jr. and Brent Pace and great great granddaughter whom she raised, Ariana “Ree Ree” Williams ,brothers Kenneth Johnson, Orlando Johnson, Benjamin Johnson(Juanita), Russell Johnson(Nicy) and Richard Johnson(Barbara), sisters Wanda Hines, Juliette Clardy(Odell), Emily Starks(Herbie), and Martha Mitchell. A host of grand, great grand and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends
