Sharon Lee Phipps-Outlaw was born on June 29, 1953, in Evansville, IN to the union of Edward M. Phipps, Sr. and Esther C. Cooks-Phipps.
She professed a hope in Christ early in her life. She was a dedicated member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Where she served on the usher board and sung in the choir for many years. She also volunteered in the kitchen, and youth activities. Sharon was loved by many and had a great sense of humor. She was a mother figure to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memory three sons; Cory Outlaw, Brandon (Amanda) Outlaw, and Andre (Tabrielle) Lewis all of Evansville, IN. One daughter; LaNisha (Tracy) Powell. Three sisters; Brenda Frazier of Solon, OH. Deborah (Hazel) Downey of Franklin, KY., and Lisa (Michael T.) Fox of Evansville, IN. Two brothers; Larry Phipps, Sr. of Lewisville, TX., and Edward Phipps, Jr. of Evansville, IN. (18) Grandchildren, (16) Great Grandchildren, a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday 10 to 11:00 a.m. with funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m. all at Osborne Funeral Home. Internment at Oak Hill Cemetery following services.
