Sharifah Zaynah Thomas

Sharifah Z. Thomas 40, of Evansville IN, went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2026. She was born August 30, 1985 in Evansville, IN to Sherry L Thomas and John Watson. Sharifah was the most caring and loving person, and had people that loved her dearly. Every time she laughed it was contagious. Sharifah loved traveling, camping, arts,  crafts, and music, but what she loved most was her 3 boys and her chihuahuas. Sharifah was a dedicated mother who always made sure her boys got what they wanted in life. Music was always a big part of her life and she was the boom squad’s biggest cheerleader! She attended Caze Elementary, McCary Middle School and Bosse High School. She held multiple jobs in multiple places but, her favorite job was raising her boys. She leaves to cherish many memories with a lot of friends and family that are going to miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother Sherry L Thomas, sister-in-law April Pruitt-Thomas. She’s survived by her 3 sons Damon Kilgore , Samual Offutt Jr.,Xavier Johnson, brother Shawn Thomas, brother Saraji Thomas, great nieces and nephews Myshon Smith, Cresia Smith, Cartier Conner, Sabali Smith, Dajhanique McElroy, D'Aria McElroy, Da'Lyric McElroy, Da'Myla McElroy, and Darius McElroy Jr. Niece’s Alysha McElroy, Acresia Smith, and Nephew Chrishon Smith. 

 There will be a celebration of life after service that will be held at Stanley Hall Building, Home of Boom Squad, Inc., 800 S. Evans Ave, Evansville, IN 47713 Where we will have a balloon release in her honor and favorite color, purple.
