Sean LaMehl Shelby was born on February 25, 1971 to Artie Marie Forrester Coffey and Wilbert L. Shelby Jr. Sean passed on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

Sean was baptized June 10, 1979 at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Robert Saunders Sr. Sean was a junior usher at Liberty. Sean attended Washington Middle School. Sean loved to draw and was asked to design Washington Middle School Eighth grade Program. Sean attended William Henry Harrison High School. Sean's last employer was Joe Beard & Son in Newburgh, Indiana.

Sean is preceded in death by his father Wilbert L. (Skeets)Shelby and Step father Deacon William C. Coffey, grandfather Wilbert L Shelby Sr, and grandmothers, Catherine B. Forrester, and Jarretta Grigsby

Sean is survived by his mother Artie Marie Coffey, Children, daughters, Dyshakia Shelby, Summer Shelby, sons, Sean LaMehl Shelby Jr. Ty Shelby, Chance Shelby, brothers Fred Couto (Camile), Ricky Johnson, Carlos Miller, William Keith Coffey, sister, Tracey Shelby-Patton (Charles), Torsheika Carter, Catherine Coffey, Dorothyanna Coffey, grandparents Donald and Ollie Cheaney extended family and dear friend Tricia Arvin, Godmother, Linda Salmon, Godfather Gregory Johnson, 4 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family.

Despite his differences and hardships he was a good dad.

The family would like to sincerely thank the ER Unit 3900 ICU, Dr's and Nurses of Deaconess Midtown Hospital for their exceptional care of our loved one.

Visitation will be Friday 10 to 11 am with funeral to follow at 11:00 am all at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
