Samuel L. Powell, Sr. was born August 4,1960 to Thelma R. Powell and was adopted by his aunt, Margaret Powell, when he was an infant.
Samuel lived in Providence, Ky and attended school there. He later enlisted in the Army Reserves in 1978 until 1981. He later moved to Evansville, In. He worked at PCS and Youth Care Center (YCC). He is currently married to Angela Moore Powell.
He was a Dallas Cowboy and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He is preceded in death by his mothers Thelma and Margaret Powell, sisters Delores J. Powell and Virginia D. Lawrence.
Samuel leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Angela Powell; four sons, Samuel L. Powell, Jr. Samon Powell, Derik Kurtz and Conner Moore. Four daughters, Shericia and Briana Powell, Sara and Katelyn Moore. Two sisters, Thelma J. Powell and Mae Frances (Merriett) Daniel. Grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Osborne Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M
