Roy Leon Lowe, 89, passed peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2022, at North Park Nursing Center in Evansville, Indiana. Roy was born in Bluefield, West Virginia, on October 24, 1932, to James and May Belle (Jennings) Lowe.

Roy was a man with a big heart and never met a stranger. He tried to help everyone he could. He loved to tinker with machinery and was a small engine repair wiz. Roy retired from Whirlpool Corp. After schooling he spent time serving in the United States Army. He was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the deacon board. He loved to travel with his wife of many years, Joan, and children

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, wife Joan Lowe, children, James Lowe, Kenneth Lowe, Karen Lowe, Bernstein Green, Alice Bonita Douglas, and 12 siblings

Roy is survived by his son, Gus Lowe, daughter, Gloria Walker, grandson and caregiver Brandon Douglas, sister Jo Ann Lowe, and host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends

Memorial Service will be 4:00 Saturday July 23rd, at Osborne Funeral Home
