Ramey Whitlock (Big Man) was born February 18, 1940 in Henderson, Kentucky to the late William H. Whitlock and Flossie M. (Wills) Whitlock. Ramey passed away on April 17, 2021, at home peacefully.
Ramey was a school crossing guard for Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959. He retired from Chrysler Foundry and later began his entrepreneurial career as a painter for residential and small businesses. Ramey loved to fish, repairing vehicles, and volunteer with his son’s little league baseball team. Member of Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church.
Ramey was preceded in death by his parents; William and Flossie, identical twin brother; Riley.
Ramey leaves to cherish his memory his son; Michael (Alicia) Whitlock, daughter/caretaker; Raynetta Whitlock, 3 grandchildren Kristen, Asia, and Brandon Whitlock. 1 great-grandson Kingston, oldest brother; James, two sisters/ caretakers; Viola Jackson and Virginia Coleman (Robert), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A walk thru visitation will be Saturday, April 24, from 10am-11am Services will begin at 11am at Osborne Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
