Otho Douglas Holmes, Jr, was born in Central City , Kentucky on October 9, 1934, the son of the late Mary and Otho Douglas Holmes Sr.
Otho was a proud devoted member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church family, he always enjoyed being in the house of the Lord, serving where he could.
Otho was a man truly devoted to God and Country, he was a proud Marine Veteran,, whom you never saw without his hat. Otho enjoyed participating with all Veterans functions he could and with the V.F.W Post 1114 where he was a tireless volunteer, even with physical limitations Otho wasn’t deterred from his volunteer activities, which would even include being a parking attendant during Annual Franklin Street Fall Festival.
He had worked various jobs including Bob Evans, GD Ritzy's .
“Baby Hair” was well known around town, you would see him everywhere on his Red Scooter. He loved listening to the Blues and watching Western Movies.
The family would like the thank the staff of St Mary’s Hospital sixth floor ,west wing and especially Courtney and Kim for their outstanding care and concern. It was greatly appreciated.

His wife Vanessa Holmes. Otho is survived by his wife Vanessa Holmes, daughter, Mary Jo Holmes, of Henderson, KY Otho is also survived by two sisters, Onedia Owens and Linda Johnson.
