Mika Yvonne McBaine, 48 of Evansville, passed away at Deaconess Midtown Hospital surrounded by her loving family,
She was born on December 19, 1976 in Evansville, IN. to the late Chelestine “Shirley” Simpson and Mikeal “Pete” McBaine Sr.
Mika attended Bosse High School where she excelled in basketball. She worked for Clayton Cleaners until her health began to decline. Mika was the life of the party and her smile would light up a room. She was always full of jokes (funnies). She never met a stranger and was known for giving her last to someone if they were in need.
Mika is survived by her bonus mother Peggy Piper; her sons who meant the world to her, Stanley (Brenlyn) Morgan III, Kenyon (Rasjae) Brazzle, and her baby boy Devyn McBaine; granddaughters Ka’myiah Brazzle, De’Khayla Morgan, Kenyari Brazzle, sisters, Debbie Ann Turner, Christine Simpson, Michelle Simpson, Shauntay Simpson, Cara Cobb, and Myia Payne; brothers; Dennis Turner, Mikeal McBaine Jr., and Anthony Piper; and a large extended family and many close friends.
Mika was preceded in death by her parents Shirley Simpson and Pete McBaine, Grandmother Mattie McBaine; Aunt Maria McBaine Parkman; Brother Larry “Jerome” Turner, Michael Simpson, Tairan McBaine and her maternal grandparents
