Matilde Del Socorro Reyes Rojas passed away on 9/10/2024 after a year-long journey with T Cell Lymphoma up until the end Matilde maintained her love for her family. Matilde maintained her kindness, grace, compassion and was grateful for God's grace throughout her life. She lived her life as a child of God. She showed love to all her family and those she met.
Matilde was born and raised in Nicaragua 3/13/1950. She loved her country as much as she loved the United States. Matilde was a strong, fearless and extremely smart lady. Matilde brought all four of her children from Nicaragua on her own. She always did what was best for her children.
She was a seamstress in her younger years and had many jobs once she relocated to Miami and Evansville. Matilde loved animals, farming, construction, spending time with her family and most of all she was extremely thankful to God for showing her how much he loved her.
Matilde leaves behind children Franco Sequeira, Sergio Alvarez, Helen Alvarez and Adriana Alvarez. Grandchildren Jonathan Hernandez, Sarai Hernandez, Adolfo Hernandez, Rafael Blanco, Monica Alvarez, Genesis Alvarez, Sergio Alvarez, Julio Cesar Sequeira, Fanco Sequeira, Bernard Cooper Jr, Adrian Cooper, Zhaeyana Cooper and Jacoby Cooper. She also leaves behind five great grandchildren.
Matilde leaves beautiful memories to her family. She showed her family that anything is possible thru hard work, respect for others and thyself, love and most important have faith and know that god is always going to help you in your life. Her family will miss her long phone calls, her stories, the food she cooked, her energy, her eagerness to keep going and most of all her smiles, hugs and kisses.
A visitation will be held Saturday from 9 to 10 am with the funeral to follow at 10 am at Osborne Funeral Home. Burial will be held at St, Joesph Catholic Cemetery.
