With the wind beneath his wings, Marvin Lewis Thomas, age 79 left this world on Sunday January 11, 2015 to begin his eternal life with the Lord.
Marvin was born on September 27, 1935 in Cadiz, Kentucky. He was the son of Rosie and Lewis Thomas, who preceded him in death.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Marvin was educated in the Cadiz, Kentucky and Evansville, Indiana school systems. He retired for Epi-Hab Association after many years of service. Marvin was also a skiled handyman and mechanic for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Marvin Johnson and Rodney Thomas; grandchildren, Antwan Johnson and Deanna Thomas, wife, Martha (Fisher) Thomas, brothers Frank Thomas, Dennis Thomas and George Thomas
Marvin was a loving father, son and brother and leaves cherished memories for his children; daughter, Debra Thomas of Evansville, Indiana; sons, Gary, Michael, Marvin, Danny and Eric (Renne) Thomas of Evansville, Indiana and Rufus Ard of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Katie (Robert) Cooper and Tula Shane of Evansville, Indiana; 52 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
