Margie Anita Avery born September 18, 1950 in Robards, KY went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 26, 2018 while at Deaconess Midtown Hospital surrounded in the love of her family.
Margie affectionally known as Peaches was a very loving person. She was the most nonjudgmental person you would ever meet. She never met a stranger and treated everyone with love and respect.
Margie was a graduate of Douglas High School in KY, she loved to sing had the most beautiful voice, she also was an excellent cook. Nothing brought Margie more joy than raising her children she loved being around and caring for other children as well they all affectionally called her “Granny”.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents; James B. Swope (Genevieve) and Francis Jeanette Powell and sister; Paula Johnson and daughter; Twjana Francine Avery.
Margie is survived by her daughters; Tonda Avery, Anjelique Avery and Denise (Al) Kincaid, siblings; Joyce Sutton, Anthony Swope (Eleanor), Gayle Anguish, Frankie Powell, Joe Powell, Tony G. Swope, Tommy Swope (Pattie), Terry Swope (Janice), Delavarie McGill (John), Jonnie Swope, Devonna Swope, Damitia Wright, Dana Swope, grandchildren; Chaence Hawkins, Chynna Buchannan, Kaymeona Lang, Lazzarria Garrett, Alexis Thomas, Amani and Amon Kincaid, great grandchildren; Amoura Hawkins, Azzia Garrett, Kyan Mays and Hope McGuire and caregiver: Octavias Dunbar, children she loved as her own; Lisa Bryant, Jon’nae, Serenity and Journey Kay Bryant.
