The sun rose on Mack T. Thompson on January 13, 1950 and sat the evening of May 30, 2015.
Mack was born in Clay County Alabama to the late Posey O'Neal and Beatrice Simmons-Thompson.
Mack was baptized at an early age in Alabama but was re-baptized at Memorial Baptist Church under the pastor ship of Rev. Adrian M. Brooks Sr. In Alabama Mack worked as an auto body repairman and as a mechanic. He loved fixing on cars and would often help friends and neighbors with their car problems. Mack moved to Evansville, IN where he met and married Rosetta Cotlett, and from that union a child, Nichole Thompson was born.
Mack was loved by everyone and had a true gift of gab. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Preceding Mack in death are his parents, a sister, Fannie Lou Tyler, brother; Allen Thompson, and a previous wife Beverly Clark-Thompson.
Left to cherish his memories are daugher; Nicole Thompson, grandchildren; Kyshaun Pegue and Khiry Waddell, brothers; Simpson (Ethel) Thompson, Franklin ( Thelma) Thompson, Wilbert Thompson, sisters; Mary (Austin) Graham, Willei L (Robert) Turner, Sadie (Fred) McKeller, Connie (Carl) Buckner, as well as step children, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be Friday 9 to 11 a.m. with funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church. Osborne has final arrangements. osbornefh.com
