Lucille Hogan

March 28, 1928 — July 7, 2014

Lucille Hogan was born March 28, 1928 to the late Harrison and Emma Jean Hogan in Princeton, KY. She peacefully slipped to Glory after the storm passed over Monday evening July 7, 2014 in the presence of family at Deaconess Gateway.

She was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She joined Liberty in November 1960 where the Rev. Dr. Charles King was pastor.
Lucille known as "Aunt TT" was famous for her caramel icing cake, peach cobbler and sweet tea. Her favorite color is pink. Lucille loved to cook for her loved ones, she still ironed her bed sheets. She learned to cook from her mother as did her sisters. They would get together and cook at each others homes and we loved it, good southern cooking. She was a quiet sophisticated spirit. She loved to joke around with you saying the funniest things. She was a good Godly advice giver and had great values. She spoiled the little ones and the adults in the family. Many called her mom and grandma, everyone who met her loved her. She was in the Lydia Circle and the Senior Usher Board, she also was a counselor for the Junior Ushers for many years.
She was preceded in death by her sisters; Kathleen, Elizabeth and Louise Hogan, Minnie Wilson, Lucy Brooks and Margaret Landers and brothers Robert and John Hogan.

She is survived by her sister Betty Bell-Leslie (Lamar), niece and caregiver; Diane Hawes (Arthur), great-niece and great-nephew; Raechele Hawes and Brian Hawes caregivers whom she lived with. Nieces; Glenda L Poindexter, Janice Magic (Odell), Connie Sutton, Nita Sims (Kenny), Starla Crowe and nephew Rodney Bell (Lynnette), brother-in-law Gailespa Brooks and a host of great and great-great plus nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A special thanks to family and friends who helped us during her illness and the staff at Woodlands, Gateway and all her physicians. God Bless
