Lillian Mae Langley-Cabell

Lillian Mae Langley-Cabell was born in Robards, KY on June 22, 1922, to the late Lucy (Cook) and Oney Montgomery Langley.
Lillian joined the McFarland Baptist Church under Rev Green McFarland. Lillian had a genuine Christian love for others and a quick wit and sense of humor, her caring spirit lead to the perfect job at Community Action Program of Evansville, (CAPE), the first employee of CAPE Calling, she was a resource connection and listening ear for many issues that the Senior Citizens may have come across.
Lillian loved to play Bingo, she had a great mathematical mind and was an avid fan of Equestrian Sports ,”Miss Lillie" was also a great supporter of programs that funded community infrastructure and school programing though out the state of Indiana. She also loved golf and thought Tiger Woods hung the moon. But her greatest love was the love for her family. Lillian lived a great and colorful life enjoying it to the fullest. On Wednesday morning August 5,2015 at 9:29 am at Deaconess Hospital, Miss Lillie put her hand in the hand of the Great Conductor, caught the morning train and went home to glory.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents Lucy Cook and Oney Montgomery Langley, husband Aaron Cabell, Sr. and brothers Robert Allen, George Washington and Oney Jackson Langley.
Lillian leaves to cherish many fond memories her daughter, Dr. Marjorie Mae Cabell, of Hampton, GA; and son, Aaron(Cathy (Norgren )Cabell Jr. of Buffalo, NY, Son-in-law Obele Acha-Ngwodo Sr. Lillian is also survived by 1 grandson, Obele N'kechiku Acha-Ngwodo Jr. and great granddaughter Madeleine Grace Stewart. God-Daughter Viola Lynn George and a host of extended family and friends.
