Leonard Jerome Tidwell I, was born April 17, 1947, in Earlington, KY to Gracie "Ophelia" and Otho Eugene Tidwell. He went home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2023, at North River Health Campus surrounded by his siblings.
Leonard went to JW Million school in Earlington and was a graduate of Earlington High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1967 and fought in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged. He worked at CSX Railroad for years and ultimately retired.
Leonard was an avid gun enthusiast, loved electronics, cars, riding his bike and watching movies.
Preceding him in death is his parents, his sister: Elizabeth Ann Watkins.
He leaves to cherish his memory: sons: Leonard Jerome Tidwell, II (Amanda), Christopher Darius Tidwell (Staci); daughters: Andrea Renee Tidwell-Green, Euraina Lynne Tidwell-Casillas (Jose); 8 grandchildren; brothers: Larry Dean Tidwell, Allan Kirby Tidwell (Retina); sisters: Teresa Tidwell-Black, Arlinda Mae Tidwell-Payne, Lois Moore (Terry); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
Visitation will be Saturday 11 until Noon with funeral to follow at Noon at Memorial Baptist Church.
