Lawanda Denise Smith

Lawanda Denise Smith was born May 23rd 1962 in Evansville Indiana to Raymond Smith and Hattie G Offutt who both preceded her in death.
On Monday February 13, Lawanda passed away surrounded in the love of her family . She had formerly worked at Hudson Valley tree and Alcoa.
Lawanda loved the Lord and she was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church.
Lawanda was loving mother with a bubbly outspoken personality. You never had to wonder what she was thinking.
She treasured her time with her children and grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. LaWanda had a love of science , history and learning ,”You could always call Mama and she knew the answer” , LaWanda loved to cook ,she even had a few Facebook live “LaWanda’s Kitchen cooking shows. LaWanda was joy to be around sharing her warm and caring spirit with all she knew she will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters LaMeshia Fellows- Mitchell (Leon) LaTese J Reed(Tyrez Brown),sons Aramis Bushrod and Deshaun Smith all of Evansville ,sister Michelle Smith and brothers Michael D Sherman and Andre D. Sherman(Leslie) all of Evansville , Stepfather Paul Sherman , grandchildren Najah Mitchell, Ke’Iyran Dowell, Varsheen Reed, Leonna Mitchell, Na’Yhasia Reed, Niobi Mitchell,S tephen Mitchell, G’Von Reed, Gervon Reed, Leasia Mitchell, Leon Mitchell Jr., Lenyia Mitchell, Tyrez Brown Jr., Jazzmiah Brown, Brinai Adams , Deiasha Carter and great grand Ken’Marianna Bailey, her longtime close friend Bobby Young, very special caring aunt and caregiver Amy Offutt,who was always there for LaWanda , and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
