Larry Wayne Pope 66 went home to the Lord on June 9th, 2023. He was born on May 7, 1957, to James Momon Sr. and Gladys Pope- Crowe in Evansville Indiana.
Larry was a graduate from Bosse High Class of 1975, Larry served his country in the U.S. Navy for 10 years. Larry had a passion for cooking he graduated Academy for Culinary Arts San.Diego, Ca, Larry was a Chef for many years. Larry went on to study at Anne Arnest Community College. He recently retired from and have worked at several local factories SRG, Toyota Manufacturing, Wabash Plastics, Larry was a mentor at the Boys and Girls Club, and a teachers Assistance at the Dream Center, He was a member of the Big Brothers & Big Sisters of America. Larry was a God-fearing man and put his faith before all else, Larry frequently visited Watkins Temple COGIC, Agape Life Church, Bread of Life Kingdom Ministries, and Memorial Baptist, where he often help the Preachers Preach, he loved to hear the preached Word of God. Larry never knew a stranger he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and sharing his wisdom. Larry was known by his friends as the life of the party, Larry touched the lives of many and his impact will live on in the hearts of all who knew him and loved him he will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Larry was a member of the Interdenominational Minister's Alliance of Evansville ln. Larry was a member of the Last of the O. G.'s of Evansville ln. Where he loved to dress up in suits, hats, shoes to match and his gold cross chain and attend local churches and events. Larry was a sharp dressing brother, even in high school.
Larry loved to cook, that was one of his passions, he enjoyed fishing, traveling, and was unbeatable in playing pool, and watching sporting events, especially the Colts of whom he was a huge fan and wrestling in his spare time.
Larry was proceeded in death by his parents James Momon and Gladys Pope - Crowe, Siblings Sister; Tara Momon Brothers; James Momon Jr., Curtis Albert Momon, Bobby Weasley, Great nieces; Angel Pope. and De 'Oshiana Pope, Nephew; Elder Teyon Tramil, Aunt; Dorothy Garrett
Larry is survived by his children - Daughters; Showeet Blythe (Maurice), Serenity Ricketts, Special Care Giver; Laneika Pope, Sons; Jordon Pope (Lyllian), Bryce Pope (Gabby) Special
Care Giver; Demetrious Pope - Appt. Driver, Karey Clark- Pope (Lindsey) Grandchildren; Liam and Amara Pope, Serenity, Semaiah, Sea'ana Blythe,

Sisters; Juanita Shanklin (Mark), Teri Gaines, Stephanie Cobb (Matt)Brothers; Minister Terry Tramil (Sandra), Demario Minor (April) Terry Momon (Jovann), Mark Bonds (Greta), James Tramil (Pat), Anthony Tramil (Diana) of Chicago IL.
Aunts - Mrs. Verna Rogers, Mrs. Mary Louise Joyce. and a host of nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends, man's best friend his beloved dog; Apollo
Visitation will be held Friday, June 23rd 10 to 11am with funeral to follow at 11:00am all at Watkins Temple.
