Kenneth Ray Hopson

Kenneth Ray Hopson born April 14, 1942 in Evansville, IN to the late William and Frances Hopson passed away May 21, 2020 in St Louis, MO. He graduated in 1960 from Lincoln High School. Upon completing high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served 20 yrs. At various military installation overseas and stateside. After his retirement from the Air Force, He worked at the post office in Evansville for a short time. He started another career with the Army personal and Air Mobility Command (AMC) Air Force at the St Louis International Airport. Kenneth retired from these units in 1997. After that he worked with the Navy Transportation Center, Granite City, IL. Until 2001. He was a member of the Otis Stone Post American Legion, for 16 years.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years; Pauline Hopson, Parents; William and Frances Hopson, Sister’ Christine Vick and nephew; Calvin Martin.

Kenneth is survived by his Niece; Mary Johnson of Evansville, IN, Step- sons; Armand Armstead of Merrillville, IN and Kevin Hawkins of St. Cloud, FL, sister in laws; Cheryl Mckissic of Evansville and Sue (James) Allen of Evansville; brother in law; Mike Mckissic of Louisville, KY he is also survived by Donna Johnson of North Carolina; Keith Johnson of Missouri; Charles Johnson of Indianapolis, IN and host of great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 6, 2020 from 10am until Noon with funeral to follow at 12:00 Noon at Osborne Funeral Home
