Joe dedicated his life to caring for others. As a Certified Nursing Assistant for more than 40 years, he compassionately served the elderly throughout Southern Indiana. In addition to his healthcare career, Joe worked for CXS Transportation and numerous healthcare facilities in the area. He also spent over ten years working events at Roberts Stadium, where he enjoyed serving his community and building lasting relationships.
Joe had a true passion for music. Rarely would you see him without his headphones, enjoying the sounds of AI Jarreau, The Ohio Players, Hall & Oates, and Frankie Beverly & Maze. Music brought joy to his life and was a constant source of comfort and inspiration. He accepted Christ at an early young age and was a faithful member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he worshipped
under the leadership of Rev. Terry.
An avid sports fan, Joe proudly supported the Philadelphia Eagles and the Milwaukee Bucks He loved playing basketball, grilling for family gatherings, and attending the sporting events of his children and grandchildren. His warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love for family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by His parents, his brothers, and his beloved significant other, Peggy Jo.
He leaves to cherish many fond memories his children;

Kameelah (Mykul) Jackson ,bonus children ;Donovan (Brandi) Hendricks, Angela Higgins and Drakkar Berry
Grandchildren ,Kourtlandt, Kyndall, Joshua, Michael Jr., Mykael, Jeff, Mary, Myauri, Myaijah, Malaysia, Khris'Shea, Tiance,Great-grandchildren ; Knowlyn, Knavy, Knowledge, Addy, Koutour, Kynlee, Madison and Jeff Jr. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and loved ones.
