Jody Lane Stott

Jody Lane Stott, 56, of Henderson, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2025, in Evansville, Indiana. He will always be remembered for his generosity and hospitality.

Jody had a passion for life that was evident in the things he loved most. He was an avid fan of Dallas Cowboys football and University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball. When his favorite teams were playing, everything else took a backseat. He also enjoyed playing the lottery and cherished time spent with his children, grandchildren, and closest friends.

Jody was preceded in death by his mother, Martha E. Stott-Hazelwood; his stepfather, George A. Hazelwood; his brother, James Stott; and his sister, Gloria Floyd.
He is survived by his father Charles Black; daughters, Khalaya Stott and Shana Wilson; his beloved grandchildren, Amoura Smith and Makhiya Perry; his siblings; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A service to celebrate Jody's life will be held on January 28 at 11:00 a.m. at New Race Creek Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery. A repass will be held afterward at the New Race Creek Baptist. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Osborne Funeral Home.

Jody's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. May his legacy of kindness and love bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
