He attended Lincoln High School class of a1960. Jerry had a reputation of being a hard worker and sharp dresser in high school with a creative mind. Jerry was a friendly and inquisitive person who didn’t meet strangers, he would talk to everyone and help others whenever he could. He had a sense of humor and a determined spirit when greeted by friends with “how you doing”? he would often respond with “awe Just barely making it”

Whatever they wanted or he thought they needed, they had it. The love he had for his daughters was indescribable, he truly was the greatest father in everyway imaginable. He spoiled them to no end,but he also instilled the importance of hard work, education, God, spirituality, appreciation, determination, drive, acceptance, humility and lovein his girls and his grandchildren. He always kept a paper folded in his pocket ready to show off their accomplishments.
He strongly believed that if you wanted something then you got up early and worked until you got it and “don’t be too proud to take a job, work it until you get the next one” Jerry always had a job “or two” he had worked at International Steel, The Evansville Sewage Treatment Plant and retired from the former General Foods Inc. after 28 years.
