James Sylvester Snaden

James Sylvester Snaden Sr. was born on December 1, 1942, to the late Guvie and Catherine Snaden. He departed this life on July 31, 2026.

James attended Third Avenue Elementary School and Lincoln High School.

In 1961, he joined the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country until 1973.Following his military service, James built a career with the United States Postal Service. After many years of dedicated service, he retired on June 1, 2000.

James was an avid golfer who truly enjoyed the game. He also had a great appreciation for music, which brought him much enjoyment throughout his life.

James was preceded in death by Harold Snaden, Charles Snaden, Guvie Snaden, Jerry Snaden, Delores Jones, Lucille Baker, Ozenia Burden, and Sondra Snaden.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories his loving wife, Hilda Snaden; sons, Michael Snaden and James Snaden Jr.; daughter, Andrea Snaden; brothers, Lucian Snaden, Elroy Snaden, and Marcus Snaden; sister, Janis Robinson; grandchildren, Asia Snaden, Damon Snaden, and Tavian Snaden; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Pointer, Nalani Pointer, and Nikolai Pointer and a host nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
