James Milton Mcnary

December 30, 1939 — May 29, 2020

James Milton (Macy) McNary 80 years of Evansville, In passed into glory on Friday May. 29, 2020 at Golden Living Center Brentwood after a brief illness in Evansville, In. James attended and graduated from Lincoln High School.

After graduating he joined the Marines and served faithfully for 3 years as infantry before reenlisting in the U.S. Army and worked as an Engineer Equipment Mechanic for 3 years of which 1 year and 6 months was in France. James was honorably discharged from both branches of service. After leaving the service he came back home to Evansville where he was a life time member of Cleaves Memorial Church. we worked for a number of years at Whirlpool as a factory worker here in Evansville before moving to Lorain, OH at a plastics plant before traveling to Toledo, Ohio working for the Chassis Railroad company. He came back home to Evansville in 1981.

Wether in Ohio or Indiana, fishing is something he did and he was naturally good at, he also played checkers and occasionally card games. He might have made and wore a button or two every now and then. Visiting a friend who was elderly just to talk and have a cup of coffee was a part of his caring spirit which he instilled in his children whom he would take with him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ardell McNary Sr. and Ruth (Landers) McNary; one brother Ardell Jr. and sister Lillian (McNary) Mooreman.

He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Latanya of Evansville; one son Stanley (Sharlita) one granddaughter Breanna one grandson Stanley II all of Lithonia, Ga. Wife Dalsie McNary of Evansville, also one sister Shirley (Willie) Gray, brothers Earl McNary and Geroy McNary all of Evansville, In and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the staff of Golden Living Center Brentwood and MSA Hospice for their care and compassion also Osborne Funeral Home.
