James Timothy Hale, Jr. (Jimmy), 56 of Evansville Indiana went to be with Lord of Friday June 30th, 2023 at 9:44 p.m. He was surrounded by his family and friends.
James was born on Tuesday October 4th, 1966 at 10:12 a.m. to James Timothy Hale, Sr and Bessie Mae (Thornton) Hale at St Mary's Hospital in Evansville. James' Education is as follows: He went to kindergarten at St. John's Catholic Church. He attended John M. Culver Elementary School. He graduated from Benjamin Bosse High School in 1985 where he played both basketball and football. He won several awards in track and field. James' mastery of Science and Mathematics afforded him the opportunity to attend classes at Purdue University for future gifted engineering students. James graduated with an applied science degree from ITT Technological Institute in Electronics Engineering Technology in 1987. As a child, Jimmy attended Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where accepted Christ at an early age and sung in the choir.
James went to work as young man delivering pizzas for Pizza Roma and he credited this experience for his keen sense of direction and mastery of the city. He worked for Kight Lumber. He was a bouncer for "The Razz" night club which led him to compete in regional strong man competitions. He spent several years as a Millwright at the Rockport Power Plant in Rockport Indiana. He worked for Home Depot as a
Master Plumber and since has been a premier, "go to guy" for all your plumbing inquiries. He enjoyed working for the Earle C. Clement Job Corps as a residential advisor, counseling young men in Morganfield, Kentucky. He has worked tirelessly for the pass 16 years as the Activities Director of the Boom Squad Inc. There he has supported the vision of longtime friend Verdelski Miller and helped to create a movement to change the heart beat of hundreds of young men and women in Evansville. "Mr. Jimmy" has served the Boom Squad as a father figure, foster care provider, friend, administrator, manager, coach, correctional counselor, and camp cook. "Mr. Jimmy was the "real deal" as he opened his heart and home to those in need. He had a charm and contagious smile that left those he encountered changed.
Proceeding him in death is his father James Hale, Sr.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Stacey (Cheatem) Hale, son DeAdvion Flemming of Colorado Springs, Colorado, daughter Ahmeisha Flemming, daughter Sta'Shauna Flemming, daughter Ayona Cheatem, son DaZauin Sargent, son Jarue Johnson, daughter Jazmine Hale, son James Hale the third, son Jay'Mon Hale, granddaughter Zamora Cabell, grandson Day'Mir Sargent, his mother Bessie M. Hale, brother Warren Hale, sister Bessie E. Hale of Indianapolis, Indiana, sister Jamie Hale of Indianapolis, Indiana, a whole host of relatives and friends, people he has helped and young people whose lives he has helped to shape.
Jimmy had several hobbies. The first would be supporting and coaching his children's sports activities. He followed in his father's footsteps and was an avid procurer of firearms. He road for several years with the Road Rattlers Motorcycle Club and affectionately named all his motorcycles. In his youth he was an avid skater and was apart of the Midnight Ramblers and worked at Carver Roller Dome is where his love for being a D.J. blossomed, he created the "Mr. Cold" persona and he later became one of the area's greatest connoisseurs of old school music. We say "well done" Jimmy. You fought a good fight. The shackles of this life no longer hold you. Rest in heavenly peace.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 14th 9 to 11am with funeral to follow at 11am at Memorial Baptist Church.
