On July 15, 1944, 76 years ago, Ida B. Patterson was born to Lizzie and Harry Jacobs in Sandhill, Florida. She was one of 11 children.
She attended Bryant Academy grammar school in Nassau county Florida and Peck High school in Fernandina, Florida.
Ida was a faithful member of First Corinthians Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois (Rev. Claude E. Tears) for many years before moving to Evansville, Indiana becoming a faithful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist church in Evansville, Indiana.
She worked for Encyclopedia Britannica for 17 years and a women’s shelter in Chicago, Illinois. After moving to Evansville, Indiana Ida became a caregiver at a nursing home for many years until her death.
After living a full life, Ida departed this earth for heaven September 26, 2020. Those that love her and will miss her are her twins, Robert M. Patterson III and Robbie M. Patterson.

17 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Sisters: Ceola Jones (Robert), Mary Delesley, Geraldine Price, and Veronica Chatman. Brother: Lemuel Jacobs. Friends: Mack Williams, Leslie Carthan, Darnita Carthan, Shaquita Sterling, Lashawna Sterling, and Lachae Sterling.
