Gloria Jean Clark-Taylor was born May 26, 1947 in Baskett KY, to the union of Mr. Arthaniel Edward Clark and the late Anna Maude Ruth Hachett-Clark.
Gloria accepted Christ at an early age in a little country church in Baskett KY, called Mt. Zion. Later in her early adult life she joined New Bethel Baptist Church under the pastoral ship of the late Rev. Robert Owens. She was a member of the Ways and Means there, and sang in the adult choir. She worked in health care at Deaconess Hospital for over 20 years until her health failed her. Just before her health failed she joined Memorial Baptist Church with full intention to serve but her health kept her from attending. Gloria is preceded in death by her mother Anna "Maude" Ruth Clark February 23, 1985 and her brother Don Edward Clark August 2014. Gloria leaves to mourn a father; Arthaniel Edward Clark, husband; William Taylor Jr., 1 daughter; Pamela Kaye Clark, 1 son; Michael Angelo Clark, 1 sister; Cynthia Clark-Harris, 2 stepchildren; Shanna and Anita Taylor, 4 grandchildren; Acasia Smith, Destiny Clark, Janyle Anderson and Marcus Norman, 1 great-grandchild and 1 aunt Naomi Rhodes, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be missed and loved by her children, father, sister. I'm sure that if you miss her down here, come on up to bright Glory- she'll be singing up there. The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers @ Parkview Care Center, Joevelynn Jackson, Elizabeth Leathers and Family, nieces Briauna Harris, Tocema Clark and nephew, Xavier Thruston. For all prayers and well wishes, visits, and every act of kindness, the Family says Thank You.
