Georgia made her journey to her heavenly home on Monday, November 30, at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness. She passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends.
Georgia was born March 21, 1941 to Jesse and Clara Mae Wilson in Kuttawa, KY. She attended Fifth Avenue grade school and graduated from Lincoln High School. She was a devoted member of the Line Street Church of Christ where she loved to sing in the choir.
Georgia had worked for many years as a manager at Olan Mills in Clarksville, IN and later at the Vanderburgh County Treasurer's Office.
She was a lover of people and never met a stranger. She had an infectious smile and lit up the room whenever she entered. She fought a good fight and will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Noble Butler Sr.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory; a devoted and loving husband, Eric Trowel; a daughter, Shannon Brown of Louisville, KY.; step-daughters, Erica Mashall, Shacobi Wilson, Chanell Johnson, all of Louisville, KY.; step-son, Eric Winston of Louisville, KY.; sister –in-law, Rita Trowel; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a goddaughter, Linda Sue Williams; life-long friend who she lovingly called her "sister", Louise Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of St. Mary's Hospital and Good Samaritan Nursing Home for the care they gave to Georgia. God Bless all of you.
