George "June" Robert Pegue Jr.

October 9, 1949 — September 25, 2020

George “June” Robert Pegue Jr. (70) born October 9, 1949 in Holly Springs MS. to the late George Pegue and Ida Perkins Pegue pass away September 25, 2020 at his home.

George loved to cook and read, especially the newspaper daily. He loved watching sports (Baseball), spending time with his children and grandchildren. He would call or text his children/grandchildren daily. George became close with Christ at a young age and later became a longtime member of Memorial Baptist Church. George served his country in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He starting cooking for his infantry when he was in the Army and greatly enjoyed doing so.

George is preceded in death by his parents Mr.George Pegue Sr. and Mrs. Ida Perkins Pegue as well as by a brother Thomas Pegue. Grandma Louise Davis

George left the following loving people to cherish his precious memories: his children sons; George Pegue III and DeMarkco “Tony” Pegue (Anita King) Daughters; Tameka “MeMe” (Scoot) Lloyd, Serena Myers, Tangela Pegue (Charles Howard), Sharmela Pegue, Allegra Pegue, Sister; Magnolia Hammond of Memphis, TN. Brother; Robert James Perkins-Pegue of Tacoma, WA.

Grandchildren; Grandsons: JayVontae Kelly, De’Shaur Pegue, Jordon Pegue, Ky’Shaun Pegue, Kyn’Terrion Pegue, JaKiya Rapier, Luscius Lloyd Jr., La’Tavion Lloyd, Landon Lloyd, DeMarion Perkins, Tarandal Dilworth Jr., Ky’Ren Perkins
Granddaughters: Brittany Quarles, JaKiya Baker, Det’Triauna Pegue, Tre’Onquai Pegue, Rawnesha McNary, Bresha Williams, JaZiya Dilworth, Allaya Perkins, Evanie Robinson, Marissa Rudolph, Alazia Wills, Kylie Myers, Michaiah Williams
8 Great-Grandchildren
And a very dear and close friend in Marvin “Gig A Boo” Thomas.
Two close cousins Carlean Crane of Holly Springs, MS and Elizabeth Gaythos of Buffalo, NY
