George Lewis Dillard was born March 29, 1944 in Hopkinsville, KY, to the parents of A.D. and Ella Mae Dillard. George passed on to glory July 24, 2016 at St. Mary's Medical Center. George had attended Central High School. He worked at Alcoa, he was a counslor at Breckinridge and retired after 35 years from the railroad.
George had a daughter by LaQuita Payne although she was raised by Juanita Harris whom he had a companionship with for 11 years.
George never met a stranger, everyone who knew him absolutely adored him. He would always strike up conversations with everyone he saw, he had a gift of gab. George also enjoyed his little magic tricks he would perform especially for the kids; they loved it. George had profound joy and love of his greatest hobby, playing pool. He was carefully crafted and skillfully gifted in winning numerous competitions and tournaments in and out of town. He loved his Golden Coral,it wasn't the food it was the fellowship with friends that he loved so much. His family faithfully attends Memorial Baptist Church.
George is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter; Crystal Dillard, brothers; Terry, Calvin, Greg and Kent, sisters; Lena Sherman and Betsy, grandchildren; Kyran Butler, Kloyea Dillard and LaRio Crayton and a host of nephews and nieces; Tamara, Lacreesha Sherman, god-daughter; Tosha Roberts and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday 9 to 11 A.M. with funeral service to begin at 11:00 A.M. at Memorial Baptist Church. Osborne has been entrusted with final care.
