Frank David Garrett Jr. was born on November 29, 1926 in Gallatin TN to the late Frank and Emma Garrett Sr.
He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of Little Valley Missionary Baptist Church until his illness would not allow him to attend. His service in church was very inspirational to many. He served on the Deacons Board, was a faithful Sunday school teacher, he sang in the Senior Choir and Men’s Choir. Frank had so much love for the Lord. He loved to talk about the bible sometimes getting into debates with others, but his Word, he knew and no one could take that away from him. He never met a stranger.
Frank worked for Evansville Veneer and Lumber Company for several years. He worked for the luggage shop on Main St. for 15 years, the Evansville Museum for 2 yrs. before retiring to take care of his loving wife during her illness. Frank also loved to junk, that was his part-time job. Frank was a loving father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all who knew him.
Frank is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Virginia Garrett, his parents; Frank and Emma Garrett, sisters Adelaide Duncan, Lillian Garrett, and Georgia Garrett. Brothers; George and Russell Garrett.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, 6 daughters; Emma Malone, Katie Brinkley (John) Hendersonville TN, Toni Collins (Leon) Evansville IN, Phyllis Drake (McArthur) Atlanta GA., Pamela Boyd (Rickey) Evansville, IN, Jennifer Jacobs (Kevin) Jacksonville FL. Sisters; Nevada Watkins, Christiana Garrett and Corina Sadler. Grandchildren; Deonna, Tashika, Bryson, Ashley, Autumn, JC, John, Teresa and Steve. Great-Grandchildren; Donovan, Zavier, Babria, Tyonna, Naijana, Amani, Tamiya, Autumn and Taylor.
