Emma Ruth Bentley, Mama, Emma Lou, Miss Emma, Mama Emma, Grandma, or simply Em, no matter what you called her everyone knew that when they called her she would always answer with love. At those times we would know for sure that we were ok.
Emma was born in Evansville to Betty Jackson on December 6, 1946. After a long battle with her health Emma received her wings on December 29,2017, at Columbia Nursing Center while surrounded in the love of her family,
Momma Emma was the most beautiful person inside and out so loyal and trustworthy. She was loving as well as caring always ready to help anyone she could. Miss Emma was out spoken, never one to bit her tongue and quick to let you know how she felt. Emma was a God fearing woman and if you met her you became friends because she was easy to love. Emma’s heart was big and full of love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, family was very important to Emma, one of her wishes was that all her family could share a dream vacation at Disney World. Her loving and nurturing spirit will be greatly missed.
Mama Emma is preceded in death by one of her precious grandson; Shun Webster Jr.
Mama Emma leaves to cherish many precious memories; husband Gary Bentley Sr. kids; Jakarta Bentley, Gary Bentley Jr., Randy Bentley and Shareka Bentley, grand kids; Keenan McNary, Aaron Bentley, Tama Jones, Annisha Jones, Quentin Jones, Freedom Bentley and Promise Wright, great-grand Kids; Nevaeh, Khadijah T,amia , Imani, Busy body, Fat Daddy, Kai Kai, Mann, Ladybug , Journey , Sissy, Kmanche and Little Will, brothers; McKinney Brooks (Susan) and Julius Jackson (Pamela) and a host of niece nephews extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday 10 to 11am with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am at Osborne Funeral Home. Osbornefh.com
