Today is the day for remembering with love and honor to Elizabeth C. Leathers, who was born to the late Aurelia Leathers and Isaiah Lash as she took her rest to be with the Lord in her home on August 22,2021.
She graduated from Harrison High School. She accepted Christ at a young age. Before she got sick, she enjoyed going to church and taking care of her children at children’s church. She worked at Shoney’s for many years. She worked at Golden Corral for over 10 years. She also worked at Fifth Third Bank cleaning, as well as Evansville Christian and Joshua Academy in food service. She was a paper girl when she was younger. She enjoyed Cavalcade cheeseburgers and Chicken Shack chicken.
Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. Seeing them sing and dancing and cooking.
She is preceded in death by her mother Aurelia Leathers, Father Isaiah Lash, one brother Freddie Barnes and two nieces, Angela Barnes, and Lena Barnes
She leaves in cherished memories her son; Shawntrell Leathers; her daughters, Nikisha Leathers, La’Shonda Leathers, Kendra Smith (Lenzy Smith), Shantay Leather (Cassius Firley); brother, Darrel Leathers; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; best friends Pam Clark and Amanda Grant; longtime friend Archie Parker; and friends, family, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
