Donald Ray Moody, 40 passed away on Wednesday, July 23,2025 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, in Newburgh, Indiana. Donald was born on November 23, 1984 in Evansville, Indiana to James Allensworth and Carol Moody.
Donald was a loving, funny and family-oriented person. He loved his family dearly. He had a smile that was unforgettable. He made sure you knew your place in his life, although he was tight with his money, he would give you the shirt off his back. He was very outspoken and would tell you what was on his mind. Donald gave his life over to the Lord before his passing.
Even though he wasn’t a big fan of dogs he had a special love foe his wiener dog, Bruno. Donald enjoyed many things. He enjoyed getting together with family and made sure everyone stayed laughing with his humor. He liked UFC, playing video games and monopoly. He also enjoyed basketball and loved to play the scratch-off lottery tickets. Donald was a huge fan of New Orleans Saints football, even taking a trip to see them play in New Orleans at the Caesar Dome. He dreamed of walking on the beach and taking in the view of the water, he was able to make that dream come true. One of his biggest accomplishments was marrying his best friend, soul mate, and love of his life, Kaelie. We hope that Donald leaves a legacy that he was well loved and well liked, he was all about family. He touched everyone’s heart with a smile that would light up a room Donald’s wishes were that everyone would remember him for as he was, don’t cry for me, but keep smile on your face as he did regardless of the situation.
Donald leaves his best memories to his wife; Kaelie Moody, stepdaughter; Margie Thomas, father; James Allensworth, mother; Carol Moody, brothers; Jeremy Robinson, Antonio Allensworth, Kevin McFarland and Dejuan Shaw sisters; Deneka Washington and Erica(KeShawn) Horne, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
Remember Donald is no longer in pain, that he is happy and resting. He doesn’t want us to be hurt or cry but, know that he fought his hardest and he loved all his family and friends. He will see us again, and he is always watching over us.
