Donald Wayne Barrett

Rev. Donald Wayne “Big Don” Barrett redeemed his ticket and caught the morning train to Glory on Friday March 24,2017 at St Mary’s Rehab Center at the age of 55 . Donald was born August 22, 1961 to Georgia (Dickerson) and Lawrence Roy Barrett, Sr. who along with brothers; Robert Dickerson, Lawrence Roy Barrett Jr, Kenneth Dickerson precedes him in death.
Big Don as he was known by his family and friends had attended Reitz Fitzgearld High School in Evansville, IN.
Donald was a devoted loving husband, father, brother and friend. He was the wonderful Pastor of Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church for 13 years.
Donald leaves to cherish many fond memories his devoted wife, Christine Evelyn Lewis-Barrett, a very loving and devoted wife, three daughters; Eve Etta M. Barrett ,LaDonna F. Barrett and Za' Brea K. Barrett who were all “Daddy’s Girls”. Donald is also survived by five sisters, Georgia Shipley, Vivian Schenk(David), Barbara Syndnor (Herbert), Marion Redding, Etta Terry, and brother; Ronald Barrett(Doretha), God Daughter; Tashara Terry and God Son; Ke'Vontae Terry and best friend and brother Clayton Brown Sr., as well as a host of brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends
Visitation will be Saturday, 9 to 11am with funeral to follow at 11:00 at Memorial Baptist Church. Osborne Funeral Home has final care.
