On Sunday night, August 5, a golden heart stopped beating, surrounded in the love of his family, Deshaunte “Shaun” Negale Williams passed away at the age of 45..
Shaun was born in Evansville, IN on September 25, 1972, the son of Katherine (Clayton) Briggs and Anthony Lamar Williams.
Shaun served in the U.S. Army and was a proud active veteran.
Shaun had a beautiful smile and an infectious personality that lit up the room. Shaun loved people and life. He was an
National Account Executive for Sherwin Williams until illness prevented him from working.
Shaun had also been a Member of Otis Stone Post 364 and the Sterling Men's Club, where you would often find him helping man the grills at the infamous Sterling Men's Bar b ques on Saturdays. He was also an avid Colts Fan.
Shaun's heart belonged to his family, “SUPER DAD” would not be a stretch to describe the role he played in their lives. They meant the world to him. He supported his children in every sporting event or activity they had. He enjoyed taking them on exciting family vacations, dinners and getaways with his devoted wife and soulmate Kristi at his side.
Shaun is preceded in death by his grandparents whom he loved dearly. Bobby and Eva Clayton and stepfather; Archie Briggs, father and mother-in-law; Dr. Don and Elizabeth Richey.
Shaun is survived by his loving wife Kristi (Richey) Williams, two daughters; Jasmyn and Alivia Williams, two sons; Donavin and Dale Williams, mother; Katherine (Clayton) Briggs, father; Anthony Lamar Williams, sister, Tara Ganaway
three brothers; Ramon Clayton, Alan Dulin and Cameron Williams, grandchildren; Bryson and Jaxon Williams, grandmother; Louise Williams as well as other extended family members and friends.
