Delores Dianna "Di" Slaughter

Delores Diana Slaughter, 68, of Evansville Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Delores was born to Ethel Slaughter and Edgar Johnson on January 27, 1957, in Evansville. Indiana.

“Di’ as she affectionally known, had a zest for life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She was a carefree spirit. She lived her life the way she wanted to. She loved to socialize. She enjoyed going to different restaurants and could give the rundown of them all, she was a true connoisseur of the area’s culinary options She loved playing games of chance and placing wagers on some of those game. Her outgoing spirit of love for her family and friends will be greatly missed .

Di is preceded by her parents, Ethel Slaughter and Edgar Johnson.

She leaves all her memories to her sisters; Ethel Johnson , Mary Slaughter, Joann Wallace, Yvonne Herring, Barbara Vanleer, 3 special nieces and one nephew whom she had a special relationship with and helped to raise; Sanchioni Irvin , Michael Irvin II and Alex Horton (who also precedes her), special cousins; Ophelia Miles, Mary Barnes, Darlene Wilson, special friends; Deborah Townsend, Lola Minor, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
