David Wayne Robinson Sr. Sept. 28, 1952 – May 31, 2025
Born in Ohio County, Kentucky to Isaac and Angeline Gwaltney Robinson.
Early in his life he and his family relocated from Kentucky to Evansville, Indiana. He received his education through the Vanderburgh Co. School System.
In 1969 David married Barbara Coleman Robinson and to this union three children were born.
In 1970 he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. Where he served his country faithfully until he was honorably discharged.
Returning to Evansville following his tour of duty, he sought employment through the Whirlpool Corporation. There he remained until he retired, following retirement he enjoyed a full life of resting and relaxing by way of traveling, spending time with family and friends. As well as a good party.
Early in life David joined Bethel M. B.C. under the pastorage of Rev. Robert Owens
He is preceded in death by his wife, biological parents and grandparents, stepmother; Gladys Taylor, stepbrothers; Herman, Jerry, Mitchell, James, and Stephen Taylor, stepsister; Ivenia Taylor, grandson; Jarico Robinson.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons; Charles Robinson of Everett, Washington, David Robinson III of Evansville, IN., daughters; Trazette (Edward) Warfield of Evansville, IN., Daviana Robinson and Kalita Davis of Evansville, IN., brother and sister; John “Johnny” (Jackquline) Robinson of New Town, VA., Keith Robinson of Richmond, VA., James “Jimmy” Baylor of King George, VA., Willard (Charles)Robinson of Greenville, KY., Calvin Robinson of Evansville, IN., Melvin Buchannan of Evansville, IN., Missy Buchannon of Evansville, IN., Lynette Taylor of Beaver Dam, KY., Ethel( Jarone) Martin of Valdosta, GA., Kimberly Morris, Donnie Mockobee, Tony and Cory Mockobee of Evansville, IN., 30 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a host of loving nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephews,
We all loved him, but God loves him best.
