Cynthia “Cindy” Marie Robards was born on January 25, 1955 to the late Minor Ulysses Johnson and Dorothy Mae Hancock. At just four days old, her mother blessed Willie Johnson and Dorothy Rollins with the gift of receiving Cindy and raising her as their own. During her high school days, she was known as one of the fastest runners at City High School in Henderson, Ky. Cindy later passed her athletic gift down to her children. Cindy spent her last 15 years praising God at Dove Chapel Full Gospel Church where she was a part of the Senior Choir, and served on the Kitchen Committee. She also enjoyed worshiping at Race Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
During her time on earth, Cindy made an impact on many different peoples' lives. She enjoyed working with her hands, watching movies, shopping, playing games on her tablet, and helping others. She cleaned houses up until her death where she touched so many people's hearts, and integrated into many families. She felt that this was the gift God blessed her with. She was a free-spirited person and loved to praise the Lord at all times.
