Clyde Vincent Tinner, 67, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on November 4, 2023. He was born on May 4, 1956, in Port Gibson, Mississippi. Clyde, also known as Jerritt Hatchins, was a beloved individual who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Clyde loved his family dearly and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He had a passion for music and was an avid reader. He took great joy in tracing his family lineage through multiple generations. He had a dry sense of humor and cherished life's moments. He had a variety of hobbies, including reading, listening to music, dancing, and following horseracing. He enjoyed indulging in soul food, particularly his brother's BBQ pork. He had an extensive career where he worked for Southern Railroad, Red Spot Paint & Varnish, Crescent Plastics, Evansville Rescue Mission Youth Care Center, and the YMCA.
Clyde leaves behind cherished memories with his daughter, his sisters, Patricia (Paul) Outlaw of Evansville, Indiana, and Charlene Tinner of Atlanta, Georgia, and his brothers, Will Tinner of Evansville, Indiana, and Pastor Bobby (Belinda) Tinner of Richmond, Virginia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Lee Tinner, Sr., and Jorecia Yates Tinner, as well as his older brother, Jimmie Tinner, and his grandparents, Fred, and Roxie Yates.
Visitation is from 11am to 12pm on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel. Funeral services to follow. Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel is located at 1400 E. Virginia St., Evansville, Indiana 47711. Pastor Gerald Arnold will officiate the service. The arrangements are being handled by Osborne Funeral Home in Evansville, Indiana
