Christopher Lee Sisney

Christopher Lee Sisney was born on January 19, 1984, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, and departed this life on May 27, 2025, at his home in Evansville.

Christopher accepted Christ at an early age in the Adventist faith. He graduated from William Henry Harrison High School in 2002. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from American Intercontinental University in 2009. In 2011, he Earned a Master of Science degree in Graphic Design, from Full Sail University (Winter Park, Florida).

Chris had an extraordinary passion for visual storytelling. He loved writing, directing, and editing short films, always dreaming of one day making it to the Silver Screen. One of his favorite sayings was, “Follow your passion, and you will never work a day in your life.” He lived that truth every day, pouring his heart into creative projects. Over the years, He produced numerous commercials and music videos. He also served as a media director for several churches in Houston, Texas.

In Addition, Chris worked as a videographer for HTV Houston Television for seven years, during the administration of Mayor Sylvester Turner. Most recently, he was a vital part of the media ministry at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully under Rev. Ryan Jackson.

Chris had a zest for life and a contagious laugh that brightened every room. He deeply cherished his family and friends. He made it a point to visit with loved ones; whenever he was in town. His children were the light of his life and his greatest source of pride.

A true lover of Cinema, Chris could spend hours discussing film editing, directing, lighting, camera angles, and bringing depth of characters to life. His favorite movie was “The Matrix”. He was an avid “Star Trek” fan and had a lifelong passion for “Marvel Comics”.

In his free time, he enjoyed going to the firing range, golfing, working out, reading, scouting locations and casting actors for his next short film.

He was preceded in death by his father Darryl Pirtle Sisney, his grandparents: Leona Louise (Kivel) Christian, John Bernard Christian, Harry Blomme, William Belmonte Sisney, Lee Etta Sisney, Uncle David Pitts, Aunts: Carla Gay Christian and Desiree Sisney. His cousin Brandon Sisney.

Chris is survived by his loving mother Mary Naomi Sisney and his cherished children: Sydnei Sisney, Caden Sisney, and Emily Sisney. His sister, Gretchen Adegbaju, Uncles: Scott Bernard Christian, David Whitlock, Jeremiah Pitts, Warren Sisney, and Orlando Sisney. His Aunts: Lisa Gayle Tyler, Brenda Lee Christian, Alicia Christian, Pegi Ellis, Lenora Hopkins, Great-Great-Great Aunt Dorothy Carson (Family Matriarch).

Chris leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews: Christian Adegbaju, Jordin Adegbaju, Isabella Adegbaju. His cousins: Nicole Elliott, Micha Tyler, Amaris Christian, Cameron Ellis, Keidra Ellis, Andrea Jones, Royal Elliott, Loyal Elliott, Arlandrea Sisney, Jazmine Sisney, Tremon Van Leer, D’ron Terry, Akia Terry, as well as a large extended family, and countless treasured friends.

Christopher Lee Sisney will be remembered for his creativity, warmth, and unwavering dedication to his family and craft. His memory will live on in the stories he told, the lives he touched, and the love he shared.
