Cheryl Lee Sutton was born on July 16, 1973, to Houston Elbert Sutton and Joyce Ann Powell Sutton. She departed this life for her eternal home on March 23,2023, at Baptist Hospital in Madisonville, Ky.
Cheryl was a 1991 graduate of Henderson County High School and attended Henderson Community College. She was one of the recipients of the T. L. Adams Scholarship Fund.
Cheryl professed a hope in Christ and joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church, where she sung in the choir, attended Vacation Bible School, and went on various church trips. She attended church as much as possible and when she did the church would provide transportation for her. She loved her church family. Cheryl's hobbies were reading and singing. She loved music in general.
Cheryl was proceeded in death by her mother and father, grandparents; Willie and Effie Williams, Jeanette Powell, Charles Johnson, great grandparents; Henry and Julia Powell, aunts; Margie Avery and Paula Johnson, and uncles.
Cheryl leaves to cherish her memories, 3 step sister; Anna Starks (Willie) of Henderson, Ky., Anita Sutton and Michelle Sutton both of Charlotte, NC., aunt; Gayle Anguish of Henderson, KY., uncle Anthony Swope of Evanston, Ill. Frankie Powell of Evansville, IN, Joe Powell of Owensboro, KY., Ronnie Williams of Henderson, KY., nieces, cousin, and a host of friends. A special cousin Demetrius Harrison and special friend Cheryl Clements.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 AM. until 12 Noon, Funeral to begin at Noon at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 450 Fagen Street, Henderson, KY, burial at Fernwood Cemetery.
